Ritemate makes kids' versions of several of its Pilbara and Ritemate work shirts, in sizes 0 to 14. They're made from the same kind of cotton as the adult shirts, so they suit farm kids, show days, family photos and anyone who wants to dress like Mum or Dad. Here's how the styles differ and which colours match.

All three are long sleeve. The RM400CF and RMPC001 both have two button-down chest pockets and two-button adjustable cuffs. The RM400CF is a closed front shirt that goes on over the head, like the adult RM200CF. The RM4050R is open front. For a western look, there's also the Pilbara Western Kids Snap Button shirt RMPW010 with pearl snaps.
Matching colours with the adult shirts
The kids RM400CF and the adult men's Pilbara RM200CF are the closest match: same 150gsm cotton twill, same closed front style. On our product pages, 19 colours are listed for both, including Azure, Black, Cobalt Blue, Emerald, French Navy, Hot Pink, Purple, Red and Stone. A few, such as Lavender, Mint, Tangerine and Watermelon, are kids-only.
The taped kids RM4050R comes in the same five two-tone combinations as the adult Ritemate RM1050R: Blue/Navy, Emerald/Navy, Orange/Navy, Pink/Navy and Yellow/Navy. The adult shirt also comes in Yellow/Bottle. Both are 100% cotton twill, but the fabric weight differs: the kids shirt is a light 150gsm and the adult shirt is 190gsm, so the colours match while the feel is lighter.
Colour can vary a little between dye batches. If an exact match matters for a photo or event, order the kids and adult shirts together.
About the taped kids shirt
The RM4050R has bright two-tone colours and tape, so it looks like the adult shirt. But our product listing for it doesn't state a hi vis safety standard, while Ritemate does state one for the adult RM1050R. Treat the kids shirt as everyday clothing, not safety gear. If a child will be around machinery, vehicles or a worksite, follow the property's safety rules and supervise them.
Picking a size
- Kids' shirt sizes are a guide, not an exact age. Check the size chart on the product page before ordering, or ask us.
- If they're between sizes, go up one. A cotton shirt with adjustable cuffs can be rolled while they grow into it.
- The cotton in all three shirts is pre-shrunk. Follow the care label; a cool wash and line dry is kind to cotton and colour.
